MGM Resorts International Manager, Financial Reporting (Corporate) in US, Nevada

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for various financial reporting and accounting processes. Perform accounting research and present potential issue resolution to department leadership team, prepare and review quarterly and annual financial data, and perform financial statement analysis to assist in ensuring financial statements of the highest quality.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for various financial accounting and reporting related projects.

  • Review/prepare XBRL documents

  • Prepare quarterly and annual externally reported financial information

  • Perform various internal control over financial reporting related procedures

  • Perform accounting research on technical accounting issues and present potential issue resolution to manager

  • Mentoring, coaching and teaching accounting topics to various departments

  • Collaboration with Corporate Accounting and Financial Shared Services on accounting policies and application of GAAP

  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Five (5) years of Big 4 public accounting experience, preferably on fast-paced public-company clients

PREFERRED:

  • SEC reporting experience

  • Master’s degree in accounting

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • CPA required
