Oracle Tech Marketing Customer Engagement Specialist in Reno, Nevada
Responsible for driving the customer marketing strategy by defining, building and executing programs that deliver a steady stream of well-targeted customer reference assets and activities to support awareness, demand generation, and sales as well as connecting them with the right advisory initiatives and inviting and connecting them with the appropriate peer groups.
Follow a detailed plan that delivers a steady stream of customer success stories and references to support awareness, demand generation and sales cycles. Advocate on behalf of Oracle customers by connecting and enrolling them in appropriate advocate program elements and take a team-based approach to keeping customers engaged with Oracle. The success of this role means higher customer satisfaction, retention and expansion of Oracle business. Ensure customer stakeholders are leveraging our solution to achieve maximum business value. Acquire knowledge of our customer base, existing customer story content, mine and use that content to increase its effectiveness, and manage that content to increase usability and visibility. Activities include but are not limited to: Connecting customers with the right advisory initiatives, inviting and connecting them with the appropriate peer groups, securing customers for PR and AR activities and sales reference calls, and participation in marketing activities (case studies, awards, videos, reference forums, speaking opportunities, etc.)
Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance to understand and apply company policies and procedures. College graduate or equivalent with 0 - 2 years of work experience. Basic knowledge of marketing techniques and company's products. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry a plus. E-business Internet practical know-how.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The Role

The Customer Marketing Group is searching for a Customer Engagement Specialist for our technology product portfolio. In this role you will be meeting with Oracle’s top customers, learning about their journey, and infusing their voice into a broad portfolio of marketing assets, including written stories, videos, events, press releases, and others. In addition to direct customer contact, this role involves frequent partnership with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Development, Public Relations, Analyst Relations, and Oracle’s Brand & Digital team.
The ideal Customer Engagement Specialist is equally skilled in executive conversation as well as storytelling, both supported by a high level of domain expertise. What You Will Be Doing
Supporting Sales, Product Development, and Product Marketing with world-class customer content that articulates Oracle’s differentiation through the voice of our customers
Navigating the customer C-suite to secure referenceability
Interviewing customers to learn about their missions and how they were impacted by Oracle products, services, and people
Writing marketing copy
Organizing and executing an engagement plan for each customer that makes the best use of their time while providing the highest quality marketing assets across various formats
Be a subject matter authority on Oracle’s technology portfolio, including (but not limited to) Oracle Gen2 Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Database, Exadata, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Management Cloud.
Qualifications
Ability to build effective relationships both with our customers as well as internally, at all organizational levels.
Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, and visual
Strong collaboration skills- ability to partner and work through others to drive joint output.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively to supply ideas that will drive value in a dynamic, customer-centered environment.
Represent a knowledgeable, efficient, and professional image of the company by handling business in a respectful and professional manner.
BA/BS in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
0-2 years of experience.
Experience in cloud technology a plus but not necessary. We will train you!
