Oracle Senior UX Project Manager in Reno, Nevada
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

We are seeking a senior design (UX) project manager to work with our team of UX designers, researchers, visual designers and writers to facilitate our work with our product management and engineering counterparts, as well as our partners in services, sales, and strategy. Within the team, you’ll provide mentorship to others, including junior project managers, while collaborating with team leaders to establish processes that enable team expansion and growth. You’ll also help guide and shape the way our team works with our cross-industry sibling teams as well as our company-wide design organization to advocate for standardized tools & processes, and to drive our contributions in those larger settings.
You have a track record of fostering an environment of open collaboration, transparency, and expediency, keeping creative teams on-track seamlessly, and showing a knack for keeping the right people updated at the right level of detail at the right times. Your ability to work with teams is naturally facilitated by your openness, approachability, and reliability. You’ve worked extensively with creative groups, UX research & design processes, and software product development organizations.

Main Job Responsibilities
Manage project intake and scheduling
Manage and facilitate project planning required for project kickoff and implementation
Manage team processes to enable team expansion and development
Maintain connections with cross-industry and company-wide design organizations and manage both our requests and our contributions in those forums
Track project schedules
Communicate relevant project information to internal stakeholders, such as status, risk, issues, or deliverables
Collaborate with design, research, and content, product management, engineering, services, strategy, and sales teams as necessary to fulfill requests and expectations
Identify and resolve issues that may impact project scope, delivery schedule, or staffing
Take great notes all the time
Facilitate communication, collaboration, and issue resolution among all team members
Work with team leadership and with the larger PMO team to identify areas of opportunity in the organization, focused on our collaborative processes.

Desired Qualifications
8 years’ experience in project management, including UX design / research project management involving product management and engineering stakeholders
Proven record of improving processes to deliver higher quality and value
Proven record of collaboration with others regardless of their position in the org
8 years of experience in contributing to change management and process improvement initiatives
You communicate well at all levels of the organization
You are experienced yet flexible enough to adapt
You work collaboratively with a team and can facilitate as needed to help the team come to consensus
You are inclined towards processes that embrace agile principles, but also understand that change management often involves a hybrid approach (waterfall) to achieve product and project goals
Certifications: PMP, CSM desirable but not required
Experience working in Jira
You have a passion for clean, low-carbon technology and energy savings
