Major responsibilities

• Assure quality and consistency of data by partnering with other operational teams

• Notify insurance companies and patients of account charges

• Oversee billing and reimbursement for specific patient accounts

Requirements

• Command of medical coding

• Deep understanding of Insurance Verifications

• Foundational knowledge in Medical Insurance Verification

• Medical billing experience

• Previous experience with a practice management system preferred

• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

• Strong knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs)

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Prefer 2 years experience in medical billing or within the revenue cycle
