Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Material Analyst to join the Data Power & Control Team in Reno, NV. The successful candidate will be under direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Material Analyst will support the Operations Department in all aspects of material lifecycle including setup, estimating, planning, and release. This position will interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure a high level of accuracy as parts are being entered into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from the Engineering Development system. The Manufacturing Material Analyst will ensure that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.
What Will You Do?
Analyze manufacturing, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other material requirements based on assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes, and enterprise supplies.
Coordinate cross-functionally to validate bill of material accuracy and proper part procurement setup in ERP system.
Maintain routine part master data including: part procurement changes, routing labor times, crew size updates, and cost analysis of purchased and manufactured materials.
Setup and update of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods in ERP system.
Coordinate implementation of engineering change orders into ERP system.
Creation and maintenance of process/training documentation.
Development and maintenance of key department metrics including: Manufacturing Engineering workbench activity, Contract Manufacturing price evaluation and variance analysis.
Develop raw material scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.
Resolve schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional representatives.
Evaluate, research, study and report on material management, minimum order quantities, packaging quantities, inventory reorder points, stock levels, demand, and impact of material requirements.
Prepare analysis and make recommendations for changes in material management, reporting and control systems.
Interface with customer representative, and outside agencies regarding material requirements and demand forecasting.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to part set-up and material data maintenance.
Prepare and present reports regarding material management.

Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) supplemented by college level business related coursework; Associates Degree in related field preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of system support in a manufacturing environment and/or relevant cost accounting experience, preferred.
Previous experience in an engineering support role with emphasis on material management, preferred.
Looking for an Excel wizard! Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access), ERP and Engineering Database systems; SAP experience a huge plus!
Ability to coordinate projects and demonstrate technical expertise to a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
Project management skills including planning, organizing, meeting facilitation and coordinating tasks.
Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process.
