This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.
Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.
8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.

Data Services is a key team within the Oracle Marketing Cloud Consulting Organization responsible for designing and building new custom applications and data processing for Responsys, Eloqua and CX Audience Clients. Data Services also designs and builds custom data process for Strategic Services Clients.
The Data Services Manger provides a single point of contact for the customer and internal teams: Account Management, Campaign Services, Project Management, Data Services and other RI teams to ensure technical RI best practices and governance.
As a Data Services Manager, you will work with team members across the OMC organization to support our partnership and drive success for both new and existing customers. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for supporting top Clients delivering white glove service through the scoping, design, documentation and build cycle of custom projects. This manager-level position will provide a Data Services delivery model that both meets and exceeds customer expectations. This includes ensuring the role, responsibilities and deliverables of Data Services are clear to all OMC and client team members.
The role includes supporting consultant activities and performance on projects (e.g. read status reports, responding to staffing and availability issues, pro-actively seek out project performance reviews, etc.). You may serve as project advisor for moderately complex implementations and you will provide mentoring and career development guidance for the team. Application of project management and agile methodologies are key to success in the role.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in supporting previous digital marketing custom data development. Expert knowledge of development and data management best practices, SQL and APIs required. Strong knowledge of the Oracle Cloud, Responsys and Eloqua platforms a plus.
Partner with the Solution Architect or work independently to design, implement, maintain data warehousing and data management solutions to support business reporting and analytics; problem solving, planning, environment resource management along with solid SQL
Ability to translate customer data requirements into solutions
Partners with client’s tech team to ensure best practices, governance and full platform capabilities. Includes ability to develop, maintain and nurture a 1:1 relationship with client’s tech team
Clearly articulate and demonstrate value across multiple disciplines (client marketing teams, tech teams, C-suite, internal RI teams)
Manage team of Data Services consultants including but not limited to hiring, training, performance management, career pathing and mentoring.
Business Development & Pursuit Support:
o Provide custom capability support and expertise to the sales, sales consultants, account management teams. Including: present overview of custom offerings, lead high level project scoping discussions, generate estimated level of effort & time to market estimate, provide overview of asset delivery requirements, and more.
- Post sale support:
o Internal Contract Review: Participate in internal contract overview meeting verifying delivery requirements, time to market commitments, & resource needs.
Department innovation and optimization: Contribute to the offering evolution by sharing ideas around new customer needs and future trends, executing on innovative staffing plans and process enhancements, meeting evolving Client expectations, and supporting ongoing changes in technology.
Fiscal Responsibility: general T&E management, chargeability targets, & maintain optimal delivery margins.
Technology: contribute to product direction through regular feedback: changes in industry demands, roadmap, usability (Oracle and Client user stories), bugs, and product efficiencies.
Delivery excellence: ensure process standardization and governance practices applied and leverage reusable artefacts.
Reporting: productivity, chargeable activity, incident analysis, and ad hoc reporting as required by manager.
Best Practices: work peers, manager, and cross-functional stakeholders to help drive implementation services best practices.
Collaboration: with sales, account management, deliverability, creative, strategy, Tech, and project teams to identify digital strategies and solutions that will best meet client’s needs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong analytical skills; ability to collect, organize, analyse and interpret data/information with key attention to detail
In-depth technical expertise regarding data models, data analysis and design, master data management, metadata management, data warehousing, business intelligence, data quality improvement
Expert in SQL building, maintaining and extracting data from relational databases
Proficiency in bash shell scripting and UNIX
Expert experience with Data Integration tools
Proficiency in working with Cloud Data Environments, Oracle Cloud experience a plus
Oracle DBA experience a plus
Understands relational database structure; design and maintain robust database schemas
Ability to research and implement best practice database management techniques
Strong skills in organization and time management
Communication skills and strong team work a must
Essential Job Duties
Oversee team of Data Services developers
Design build and maintain ETL feeds for new and existing data sources
Ensuring ongoing accuracy of data ETL feeds, monitoring for changes in source systems
Per solution requirements, build appropriate linkages and relationships between data fields and the data warehouse
Documentation of all metadata including data source, field type, definition, etc. for each field and table created
SME for data sources, structure and definitions
Structuring data in a way that is easy to understand, query and display
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
5 years of professional experience
8 years relevant experience in ETL development required
4 years consulting experience preferred
1-3 years Management experience in a Software Development organization preferred
Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus
Ability to build rapport with team members and clients
Ability to travel as needed
