The Administrator of the Renown Rehabilitation Hospital is responsible for directing the overall functions of rehabilitation services; coordinate and supervise hospital operations; and maintain performance improvement activities. The Administrator willprovide strategic leadership to Renown Health System by working with the Renown Health Vice President and other management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies as it relates to acute inpatient rehabilitation services.
The Administrator is responsible for the development of effective partnerships throughout the Renown Health System to ensure the highest quality rehabilitation services. The incumbent will manage the delivery of care in the most cost effective manner, coordinate treatment activity between disciplines and team members, and provide therapy services, including assessment as applicable, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions that are consistent with the discipline's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards.
The Administrator is accountable for ensuring patient care activities are performed according to the policies and procedures, and with all applicable state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Nature and Scope:
Using discretion and independent judgment, the incumbent is responsible for the operation of acute rehabilitation services for Renown Health System.
The incumbent directs the development of short and long-range objectives, budgets and operating plans for the above centers. This position oversees operations, and the application and implementation of established Health System policies and acts as a liaison with medical staff, and departments, and the control and effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
Administrative functions include: planning and coordinating facility activities, program and service evaluation, development of rehabilitation policies and procedures and oversight of quality assurance standards and programs related to post-acute rehabilitation services.
The Administrator of the Rehabilitation Hospital ensures fiscal integrity through the implementation of an operational budget consistent with the overall strategic plan. This position directs resource allocation to promote effective utilization of all resources and provides for internal controls which protect human, physical, financial, and information resources.
The incumbent attends all meetings of the rehabilitation governing body, presents to the governing body or its authorized committees periodic reports reflecting the operations, long and short term plans, professional services, financial activities of the medical center, and other special reports as necessary.
This position ensures compliance with all applicable law and regulations governing health care delivery and with all appropriate accrediting inspecting agencies (ie JCAHO) by continually monitoring the operation of services and programs, and initiating changes as necessary.
The Administrator will have responsibility in the supervision of leadership staff, including the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline employees. This position is required to use independent discretion and judgment with respect to supervisory and management decisions and recommendations.
This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements – Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, administration, and/or rehabilitation, or any equivalent degree in a related field required, Master's Degree preferred plus three to five (3) year's management experience.
Three years of senior administrative management experience required.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
