Job Description Summary:
The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer Delivery Consultant brings creativity, curiosity and passion to the role. They are technically versatile and deliver differentiated exceptional customer experiences to Rocket’s Open Tech customers by:
Delivering services that allow for successful post-sales deployment of Rocket products

Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional value-driven services to customers
Buildsuponestablishedsolution deliverytechniquesto help drive continual improvement
Establishes credibility as a Rocket product expert with all audience levels
Mentors and teachesjuniorconsultants on product implementation strategies
LeveragesRocketsubject matter expertsto provide effective and creative solutions to Rocket customers
Handles objections professionally; answers questions quickly and coherently; deals with challenges assertively and persuasively
Partners with Project Management to communicate progress, risks and roadblocks considering customer objectives, timeframe and budget
Gains an understanding of the customerbusiness andseeks to identify opportunities where Rocket can bring added value to the customer
Guides clientbest practiceconfiguration and use of Rocket productsand trains customers in administration and use of the products
Required Skills
Broadtechnicalhands onexperience including
Backup and recovery procedures for mainframe systems including RAID, Instant Replication, volume level and dataset level application recovery in large scale z/OS sites.
Client migrationsandabilityto design and implement a data migration strategy between hardware platforms.
Workingwithin a z/OS environment supporting andmigrating data from one subsystem to another for both Tape and DASD.
Comprehensive understanding of JCL,DFSMSdss, Tape Management Software (e.g.RMM, CA-1) and IBM Utilities.
Demonstrated experience in z/OS software product installation and customization required both SMPE and non-SMPE managed.
Understanding of current z/OS DASD hardware (e.g.IBM DS8K, Dell EMC VMAX) and Virtual Tape technologies (e.g.IBM VTS, Dell EMCDLm).
Advanced understanding of z/OS systems and its componentry (JES2, TSO ISPF, OAM, DFSMS, SDSF, RACF etc.).

Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, regardless of timeline or time zone variations.

Problem determination, diagnosis, identification, testing, and resolution
Relationship management
Excellent written and verbalcommunication
Additional Preferred Experience
Previous customer facing experience
Knowledge in using the following software is a plus:FlashCopy, TDMF,zDMF.
Hands on experience usingOpenTechtools would be an advantage.
