The Role

The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for managing customer operations and providing technical oversight to a team of 24X7 engineers for Windows & Linux systems, Network, Storage, Web, and SQL & Oracle Database in support of services provided to the customer. Individuals fulfilling this role must be skilled in one or more technologies as well possessing conceptual knowledge of managed hosting technologies overall. The role is also responsible for assessing the efficiency of operational processes as well as improving, automating and documenting changes as required. This individual must have strong leadership skills and be able to influence and work effectively with cross functional teams.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Provides technical direction to engineering projects and services in an assigned area, from design to start-up.

  • Lead to ensure that the project is on schedule, is high quality, is within budget, and meets the measures of success (MOS) and the high-level achievements (HLA).

  • Oversee and mitigate risks across technical functional lanes to ensure that project meets agreed upon MOS and HLAs.

  • Lead and maintain client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction.

  • Responsible for resource requirements allocation.

  • Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce financial reporting.

  • Maintain knowledge in several of the following mainframe development, midrange development, builds software development lifecycle management, software testing methodology, production deployment, technical architecture development, and requirements management.

  • Develops project progress and status reports.

  • Acts as project team leader

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent eduaction and related experience

  • 8+ years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • 6+ years related experience
