TheSupply Chain Technician IIwill act as a resource individual to coordinate the daily activities of requisitioning in order to meet the procurement demands of the hospital and the off-site facilities. This position will work in concerted effort with the departmental staff to provide for the timely acquisition and distribution of stock and non-stock supplies, equipment, and services and compliance with established corporate contracts is the primary responsibility of this position.
EDUCATION:Must be a high school graduate. College level courses or related experience desired. * * *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * This position requires the following minimal requirements: · High degree of accuracy. · Customer orientation – establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations · Basic skills – able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately · Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. · Exhibits professional manner necessary to work effectively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals. · Demonstrates initiative, willingness and flexibility necessary for working against constant deadlines in a fast pace, high volume environment. · Demonstrates Knowledge in use of computerized inventory systems. · Ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize time effectively; self motivated. · Good organizational and computer skills. · Detail oriented. · Demonstrates ability to type 45 wpm and 105 KSPM. · Comprehensive knowledge of medical supplies and equipment desired. * * * * * * *EXPERIENCE: * · Minimum of three years experience in a medically related supply position, preferably in a hospital setting. · Prior experience with computerized inventory control systems preferred.
