The Specialist of Financial Investigations will be responsible to investigate and analyze data on company patrons across all lines of business for suspicious activity, including source of funds, money laundering and violations of Title 31. A better than average knowledge of Title 31 and suspicious activity is a requirement. Supporting the Financial Investigations Department with the narratives of the Customer Due Diligence reports on the Company’s high value marker limit and cash patrons requires this position to have strong investigative skills and report writing skills.
Conduct financial reviews of high value marker limit and cash patron’s source of funds/financial background/history.
Provide information to department management to assist in their CDD reports.
Use of public records research for patron’s financial stability/history.
Assists with the development/enhancement to the threshold for high value patron review.
Assist to develop training materials for casino collections, casino credit, fraud and casino cage departments.
Create detail reports to inquiries from management.
Use of Lexis Nexis/World Check and Bridger reports to analyze patron data.
Perform other job related duties as requested.
At least 2 years of casino experience.
At least 1 year of SAR/AML/FRAUD investigation experience.
Familiar with Cage & Marker Limit systems including but not limited to: Tandem, Mlife, and CMS.
Ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and respond to senior management inquiries on research subjects and matters.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Excellent Writing Skills to assist department management in the narrative portion of the SAR/CDD.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
