MGM Resorts International Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Corporate) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Senior Security Application Support Engineer to support the operational and administrative needs of applications and programs supported and maintained by IT Security Operations Support. The Senior Security Application Support Engineer provides second and third tier technical support and ensures the applications they are responsible for are configured and maintained in accordance with MGM policies and procedures. The Senior Security Application Support Engineer interacts directly with other departments and project teams to ensure resolution of complex issues and the successful implementation of new policies procedures and technologies for MGM.

  • Manages and Supports the operational needs of the Certificate Management Program (SSL/PKI)

  • Manages and Supports the operational needs of the DLP and CASB Progams.

  • Attends project meetings and facilitating meetings as required.

  • creates and maintains documentation related to Security applications and Security application issues related to programs assigned to this role.

  • Works with IT groups, Vendors and Business users.

  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Minimum of at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology preferably with a strong technical understanding of the various hardware, software and networking systems being supported.

  • At least 4 years of experience in an application and network support role with a demonstrated track record of development of more and more complex solutions.

  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes.

  • Understanding of system error messages and resolve system related problems.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Certificates and Certificate management.

  • Experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting Server Operating Systems (Windows, *nix).

  • Experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications.

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
