Amentum Security Standardized Evaluation Officer in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Summary

Provides initial and annual certification methodology for Security Contractor personnel to comply with the PWS. Provides assistance and advises Security Manager on security matters, sub-standard trends, performance and training deficiencies, operational policies and customer relations. Develops, conducts and manages standardized evaluation program that follows established local operational directives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working in cooperation with the Security Training Officer, devise realistic performance evaluated exercises, provide initial and annual certification of security personnel utilizing written, oral and practical evaluation methods in order to provide the most qualified security personnel for the customer.

  • Conduct individual and collective standardized evaluation exercises to identify deficiencies and take corrective action.

  • Develop and implement standardized evaluation performance checklists; monitor quality control trends to determine problem areas and then conduct practical evaluation exercises in those areas. Accomplish contractual obligations for duress and authorization procedures.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports to the customer.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Possess strong knowledge and skills of all security police operations to include but not limited to: resource protection, classified handling and quality control in order to successfully evaluate all security personnel. Knowledge of personal computers, networking, word processing software (MS WORD), database software, Form's creation software (Form Flow), multi-media presentations software (MS Power Point) and Spreadsheet software (MS Excel). Knowledge and proficiency in the use of the following equipment is required: Handgun and tactical weaponry, various vehicles, mobile and hand held radios, sensor and alarm equipment, night vision equipment, computers and map reading. The incumbent will utilize proper implementation of all security local operating procedures so that the evaluations can be properly administered to security officers and lieutenants. Position requires the ability to qualify for and maintain a government Secret Security Clearance. Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Must be available to work flexible hours that coincide with duty hours of security shifts at various locations. Must maintain physical ability and mental stamina to conduct duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion, practical performance exercises that places the SEO in suspect role playing for evaluating physical apprehension and self-defense techniques demonstrated by security personnel and all other duties required by the PWS. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoor assignments may include isolated areas in adverse climates (extreme heat/cold, high winds, snow, rain etc.). Outdoor assignments may cause the incumbent to come in contact with natural inhabitants to include venomous snakes, scorpions, insects, etc. Other working conditions include family separation, remote work environment and irregular duty hours.
