The Charge Registered Nurse is a member of the Nurse Leadership Team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for the day-to-day floor supervision of the unit, shift-to-shift processes and the implementation of the provision of patient care based upon the nursing process and in compliance with hospital policies, processes, protocols, and procedures. The Charge Nurse ensures patient quality, safety and care. Meet and exceed MountainView Hospital and HCA standards for care and patient experience.
Minimum of 1.5 years of rehab and acute care RN experience
* EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:*
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing required
BSN required or has a plan to complete within 3 years of hire, transfer, and/or currently in position.
Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada
Valid CPR (American Heart Association or hospital approved CPR course)
Obtain National Certification within 2 years of hire or transfer and/or currently in position
Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.
Maintains current competency with nursing skills required for the assigned unit/department, and demonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area.
Management of Aggressive Behavior/De-escalation Techniques course (CPI/hospital approved course within 90 days of hire).
Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by manager/director.
