The Manager Tier Strategy main responsibility is to oversee the daily operations and execution of property Direct Marketing strategy. This role will also be a liaison to property functions, and manage tests to optimize property Direct Marketing campaigns.
The Manager Tier Strategy will maintain a strong and productive relationship with partner, corporate, property, and vendor contacts. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.
Manages direct marketing campaign plans and briefs; working with Direct Marketing Operations to execute (e.g. segment customers, determine channels);
Manages the implementation of the long term marketing strategy set forth by Director and Vice President (e.g. competitor intelligence and strategic data gathering in market);
Generates insights and learnings from historical results and provides recommendations to senior management;
Reviews email links, content and creative in final email for Company-wide e-mail campaigns;
Manages and prioritizes ad-hoc requests from Tier Strategy Directors and Vice President;
Evaluates program strategies continuously by interpreting data, identifying trends; makes actionable recommendations for improvement;
Partners with Director in running test to evaluate customer segmentation models and find opportunities for growth;
Ensures marketer business requirements and needs are supported with appropriate tools, data, and application functionality;
Creates briefs to send to direct mail vendors; and
Performs other job duties as requested.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Hotel Administration, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following fields: loyalty marketing, partnership marketing, gaming industry, marketing, hospitality, or related field.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Experience in direct marketing messaging, including customer valuation and reinvestment for gaming and non-gaming.
Working knowledge in various marketing roles across properties and has knowledge of campaign finance & performance drivers.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
