MGM Resorts International Lead Tech Arena Conversion (Mandalay Bay) in Las Vegas, Nevada

Responsible for the setup and breakdown of staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, and flooring for events held in the Arena. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Sets and strikes staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, boxing rings, etc as directed by the Arena Conversion Supervisor.

  • Stores equipment in pre-designated areas.

  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setting and striking events.

  • Operates company vehicles related to arena operations.

  • Performs administrative duties related to event productions.

  • Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, be exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, extreme noise and potentially hazardous materials, and physical ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, stooping and kneeling without restrictions.

  • Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure.

  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools related to welding and fabricating.

  • Working knowledge of bleacher drives systems and maintenance.

  • Boom Lift, Scissor Lift and Fork Lift experience.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
