It is the Conversion Lead responsibility to facilitate the day-to-day conversion operations for the Las Vegas Arena to ensure accurate, timely, and demanding completion of conversions between events, including but not limited to concerts, basketball games, Ice events, mixed martial arts, boxing and family shows. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the departmental and LVA policies, practices, and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of the LVA’s Core Service Standards.
Sets and strikes staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, boxing rings, etc as directed by the Arena Operations Supervisor.
Stores equipment in pre-designated areas.
Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setting and striking events.
Operates company vehicles and any mobile equipment related to arena operations.
Performs administrative duties related to event productions.
Hockey Shielding replacement and maintenance during and off games
Ice Resurfacing and maintenance.
Ice install and tear down.
Ice equipment upkeep and maintenance / Zambonis / Edger / and all other Ice making equipment.
Work along Conversion tech 2 staff on all other conversion related duties.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
At least 2 years of conversion/stage production experience or public venue/event related building including at least 2 years Lead experience.
Previous Experience in Ice Related Equipment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Ice maintenance experience.
Ice rink related environment.
Forklift operation experience.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
