The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and to create an atmosphere that provides continuity of quality patient care in the health center environment. This is achieved by providing clear direction and expectations to the clinical and office staff regarding the functional areas in which they work. Ensures all aspects of the health center are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.


Leadership Role

  • Provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for health center employees

  • Assume lead role during facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies

  • Oversee all functional aspects of the Health Center including Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office, Vision, and Dental

  • Assume fiscal accountability through budgetary oversight

  • Complete and communicate employee performance evaluations

  • Responsible for the oversight of continued employee training requirements, safety and quality initiatives

  • Work closely with Human Resources regarding employee related issues, training, and staff development initiatives

  • Responsible for ensuring all functional areas are fully staffed with continuous coverage

  • Recruit, hire and evaluate assistant administrators, nurses and doctors

  • Plan budgets and set rates for health services

Operational Role

  • Ensure the health center is in compliance with all established policies and procedures; Federal, state and local regulations; (and licensing and accreditation standards if applicable)

  • Handle patient grievances with adherence to the Neighborhood Health Center values and the principals of patient privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI)

  • Drive data provided to regional management through the use of clearly defined metrics

  • Monitor facility quality indicators and develop resolution plans by working closely with safety and infection control metrics

  • Ensure that the business office complies with all established policies, procedures and protocol in regard to the patient process, collections and customer service

  • Ensure the facility is equipped with the appropriate supplies and materials in which to effectively deliver quality patient care

  • Participate in community outreach programs

  • Develop and expand programs for scientific research

  • Assist in the education of new doctors in teaching hospitals

  • Develop procedures for quality assurance, patient services, medical treatments, department activities and public relations outreach

  • Participate in fundraising and community health planning

  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required

Years of Experience and Knowledge

  • 7 10 years of direct experience minimum

  • 5 7 years of department management experience required

  • Working knowledge and experience in healthcare and health centers

Education, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required

  • Required: Certification in BLS

  • Preferred: License in ACLS

  • Required: State License as a Registered Nurse without sanctions

    Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills

  • Required fluency (speak and write) in English, Spanish preferred

  • 10% 15% travel, primarily within Las Vegas area

  • Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating, and supervising

  • Skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, decision-making

  • Skilled in identifying and resolving problems

  • Ability to anticipate and react calmly in emergency situations

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining trusted, highly productive relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public

  • Skilled in developing comprehensive reports

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining quality improvement

  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) required

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Strong project management skills and demonstrable experience leading projects
