Consumer Banking Sales and Support (CBSS) Risk Management has an opening for a Compliance Consultant to coordinate the Business Change Initiatives (BCI), Business Change Risk Assessment (BCRA), Compliance Material Review and Approval (CMRA) Process, and Third Party Change Management process. Each of these change management processes are important to ensure compliance with the company’s risk management framework. They help to ensure all changes are appropriately reviewed for adherence to various laws and regulations, regulatory guidance, corporate policies and guidelines, as well as doing the right thing for our customers. This role will support the work being done in the CBSS Experience studios and will use an Agile methodology. In this role, you will:
Manage the BCI, BCRA, and CMRA process for the CBSS Experience Studios to ensure materials are submitted, reviewed, and tracked appropriately.
Draft BCIs and BCRAs on behalf of the journey teams, as needed and/or review them to ensure they are adequately documented prior to submission
Work with all of the CMRA contributors to ensure CAT submissions are reviewed by journey teams prior to submission and then tracked appropriately
Provide initial review of materials submitted for compliance review through CMRA
Identify key regulatory and compliance risk indicators from materials and appropriately share with appropriate CBSS risk leads.
Demonstrate risk expertise and strong change management process skills
Identify opportunities to improve the change management controls to more effectively operate in an Agile environment
CBSS includes the following business units: Mortgage, Consumer Loans and Leases, Red Sky Appraisal Services, Small Business, Indirect Lending, OmniChannel, and ATM/Debit Cards.
As part of the CBSS Risk Management Team, the RCA Consultant will partner with assigned Business Leaders, RCA Consultants, and other RCA Managers to, oversee the successful creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective change management program framework for the CBSS Experience Studios. The Consultant will be responsible for managing the change management processes for the CBSS Experience studios, ensuring the appropriate CBSS Risk functions are engaged in the review process, and providing risk management guidance on all change initiatives. The Consultant will facilitate the identification of gaps and drive solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. The Consultant will ensure the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate and will influence policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure. He/she will be accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Key Responsibilities for supporting the Agile Risk Consultant:
Build and maintain an effective CBSS Risk change management program for the Experience studios that ensures appropriate 1 st and 2 nd line of defense engagement
Work closely with the Experience Studios to identify changes subject to BCI, BCRA and/or CAT processes.
Draft, review, and/or submit BCIs, BCRAs, and CAT materials, as required, and anticipate potential risks and risk mitigation plans.
Monitor and track all BCIs, BCRAs, and CAT submissions to ensure timely responses and timely implementation.
Self-identify issues and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors
Identify, respond to and/or escalate risks as appropriate
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with the CBSS Risk Experience Studio Support team
Maintain effective partnerships within CBSS, Corporate Compliance, Operational Risk, Third Party Risk Management, the Law Department and other key change management participants.
Provide assurance of the efficacy of the business line compliance with Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement and Enterprise Risk Management Policy

The Three Lines of Defense have separate roles in terms of their technical/professional/business functions. However, the skillset, knowledge and activities are coordinated and collaborative, all working toward managing risk for the organization. This position is within the First Line – the Consumer Banking Sales and Support (CBSS) Line of Business.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of experience in an applicable risk management environment
Demonstrated compliance and operational risk knowledge
Previous experience with BCI, BCRA and/or CAT process
Proven experience managing change
Previous experience working in an Agile environment
Good organizational and project management skills
Knowledge and experience with the industry, products, policies, operations and procedures related to Consumer Banking
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to interact effectively with staff at multiple levels in the organization
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
