The Director of Casino Marketing will lead the development of analytical insights surrounding the performance of high end database, VIP events and host related activities. The Director is expected to collaborate with business partners and provide actionable insights to increase efficiency, drive revenue growth and increase overall profitability. The Director is expected to develop analysts within the department by creating learning opportunities, cross-functional trainings, and inter-/intra-department mentorship opportunities. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to offer strategic insights, review and translate findings, make actionable recommendations and provide insight into how to improve our allocation of marketing dollars while prioritizing critical projects

  • Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities, drive recommendations for optimization, and propose marketing programs with solid financial impacts.

  • Work within the department’s charter to ensure all required reporting and performance metrics are being produced by the reporting department and delivered on a timely basis. This includes continuous review and migration of any existing reporting.

  • Identify data/analytics requirements to ensure effective execution

  • Direct and assist with event proformas, post analysis, promotions and analysis of segments in the scope of the high end/hosted database.

  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities for the specifically assigned areas; create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.

  • Establish and communicate priorities, manage relationships, set performance objectives, provide direction, and hold staff accountable to commitments.

  • Other job-related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or related field.

  • At least 6 years of experience in relevant subject area expertise (e.g., industry or function).

  • Proven ability to drive business performance through operational insights and analytics.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Able to lead and mentor a team.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Engineering or related field.

  • Experience in casino and hospitality marketing.

  • Experience with SAS.

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
