Located in our Summerlin, NV Headquarters this position reports to the Corporate Payroll Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee daily tasks of payroll specialists

  2. Assist in creating, maintaining and updating department procedures

  3. Support Payroll Management on special projects

  4. Daily reporting to business partners within the organization

  5. Assist in developing ongoing training for payroll specialists

  6. Provide insight on best practices for all tasks assigned to the Corporate Payroll Team

  7. Review biweekly payroll to ensure balancing and accurate information prior to submission

  8. Responsible for preparing, processing bi-weekly payroll, multi-state and multi-company payroll, including benefits, taxes and garnishments

  9. Provide timely and accurate financial information and participate in daily data entry

  10. Audit biweekly payroll

  11. Process direct deposit requests/changes, garnishments, retroactive pay calculations and special payrolls

  12. Coordinate with the Human Resource Departments to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including new hire data, benefit elections, rate changes, leaves of absence and termination/final payments

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory position

  • Minimum 5 years experience processing payroll for at least 200 employees, including multi-state payroll

  • Proficient with wage and hour laws (Federal & multi-state)

  • Knowledge of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels and payroll best practices

  • Solid organizational, time management and prioritization skills

  • Affinity Gaming is an E-Verify employer
