Touro College Faculty, Medical Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada

Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Basic Sciences. This position is on a 12-month cycle appointment at the Assistant Professor level with primary teaching responsibilities in the Medical Health Sciences (MHS) program in the College of Osteopathic Medicine with the opportunities to conduct original research/scholarly activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in Touro University Nevada’s Master of Medical Health Sciences (MHS) as required. Faculty members are encouraged to conduct original research/scholarly activities and pursue extramural funding in their areas of interest. Other duties will be assigned, as necessary.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Design and direct courses and provide lectures for Master of Health Sciences Program in the following area: research methods, scientific literature, and wet labs

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and mentorship of student-driven scholarly activities and research projects.

  • Participate in and facilitate TBL or similar active learning sessions.

  • Write quality questions consistent with learning objectives for formative and summative exams.

  • Actively participate in curriculum design, development, and evaluation.

  • Participate in other activities associated with the operation of the MHS program.

  • Be able to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty from different programs within TUN.


  • An advanced degree in biomedical or other sciences (Ph.D.)


  • Candidates should have college teaching experience in biomedical or health sciences, preferably at the graduate level.

  • Experience in research or other scholarly activities.

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of flipped classrooms and small groups.

  • Experience in using artificial intelligence (AI) in research or education is preferred.

  • Excellent presentation/public speaking skills.
