Position Summary :
This position is responsible for working directly with our clients (and Sales team) to understand and answer their needs regarding optimizing custom applications for the cloud. The role involves assessing clients’ business requirements as they pertain to optimizing their custom applications for the cloud, qualifying opportunities, and creating solution proposals that match the requirements with appropriate cloud platform(s) and services as well as Sirius professional services. This position also entails collaborating with other Sirius team members as required to address client needs, present proposed solutions to the client, ensure the sale is made, and oversee the delivery of these solutions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
Client-Facing Sales Support – Work with Sirius sales team to interface directly with our clients. Promote optimizing their custom applications for the cloud by meeting with them, understanding their needs, and applying knowledge and research to provide client value. Build trusted advisor relationships, understand clients’ business objectives and propose meaningful solutions. Client facing work includes advising clients on how to leverage best practices, cloud platforms and cloud services to achieve clients’ custom cloud application and related business objectives.
Solution Architecture – Transform our clients’ business goals into technical vision, effectively communicating both the goals and vision. Create and document custom application solution architectures for the cloud that address clients’ business problems that can be used to ensure a smooth transition from presales to delivery
Services Proposals – Develop SOWs (Statements of Work) and RFP responses
Sales Planning – Work with management and sales teams to develop account prioritization and support strategies that will ensure a long-term trusted relationship status
Practice Development – Help build the Sirius Digital business via assistance with recruiting, training, and certifications, partnering with practice leadership and sharing in the responsibility of its success
Partner Relationship Management – Develop healthy and trusted relationships with Sirius and third-party team members
Billable Consulting – Provide billable services as part of client projects usually in the form of technical oversight
Intellectual Property Development – Contribute to the development of intellectual property and industry recognition; e.g. white papers, speaking engagements, etc.
Training – Develop and execute a professional plan that will enhance skills. Advise and lead Sirius management regarding industry and vendor trends such that Sirius continues to be well-positioned to assist our customers in Cloud endeavors.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
At least seven (7) years’ IT work experience in a Lead Developer, Solution Architect, or similar role, to include all of the following:
At least three (3) years’ experience specific to migrating custom applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure
At least two (2) years’ experience providing application architecture for cloud leadership, to include AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, with involvement in the full life cycle from inception to adoption
Other Position Requirements :
Experience with all of the following:
At least three (3) years of development experience leveraging a microservices strategy in an enterprise environment
At least three (3) years of experience with scoping, sizing and assisting with the sale of cloud and/or SaaS software solutions.
Demonstrated ability to apply technical background and knowledge to business direction by developing service offerings, go-to-market strategies, business planning, and other activities important to building business
Demonstrated ability to drive sales, sequencing activities and deliverables to the client to value sell, earn trust and enhance margin
Proven ability to evaluate information and make sound technical risk judgements
Proven experience articulating technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, including technical and business decision makers
Demonstrated experience working as a member of a team to collectively arrive at an architectural solution
Demonstrated ability to manage time and assignments effectively, including when participating in multiple assignments at a time and under tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to lead technical workshops, architectural sessions, and conversations with the goal of recommending solutions while staying open to discussing alternative solutions
Experience building and leading teams
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills, to include experience with written proposals, verbal presentations, and white-boarding
Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-up skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Two (2) or more years’ consulting experience
AWS and/or Microsoft Azure certification(s)

The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
