Position Summary Under the direction of the department manager and supervision of a Charge Nurse/Team Lead, demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Develops and participates in the care plan of the patient.
Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada or current Interim Permit.
Current Amercian Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers.
Chemotherapy experience preferred
Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider course required within 6 months of hire.
Required Tumor Board meeting- minimum attendance: one (1) per month-fulltime; six (6) meetings per year- part time; three (3) meetings per year-per diem.
Desire to work within a comprehensive healthcare team.
Demonstrates a knowledge base related to the following through previous evaluations and education documentation:
Collection and processing of data related to physiological and psychosocial needs of non-critical and critical status patients.
Identification of nursing diagnosis
Development of a comprehensive plan for nursing care.
Implementation of a plan of nursing care.
Evaluation of care based on observable patient responses.
