Responsibilities

Incredible opportunity to work with an exceptional Healthcare Consulting firm to reshape the go-forward strategy for health systems, AMCs and Provider organization as they deliver to the demands of reform and brace for industry disrupters. You will thread these models into integrated strategy project teams. This Senior Executive identifies, pursues and owns critical relationships with key clients. They drive new opportunities, innovative strategic based solutions and increase value to the healthcare client and revenue to Navigant (a Guidehouse company). He/she is responsible for being an expert at healthcare provider enterprise strategic modeling and clearly capable of selling its value within the larger horizontal programs. All with an eye toward superior client satisfaction!

Responsibilities:

  • Builds strategic plans that deliver patient and financial outcomes across the healthcare continuum. Able to assess and build client capabilities with a disciplined, holistic, phased approach that guides the client from the top down. Keen to the internal and external environment.

  • Bring innovative enterprise plans to health systems while taking into account values of the internal culture, market factors and regulations. He/she then crafts a strategic plan that involves the data collection, goal setting, expectation definition and statement of direction for a health system, ACO, large IDN or Academic Hospital.

  • Leverages deep industry and strategy expertise to create a compelling case for change to Health Provider C Suite and board.

  • Responsible for developing and building strong client relationships/management with executive decision makers (organization leaders, financial leaders, dept./service line leaders, C-suite executives and boards) to help them achieve their goals and set the stage to deliver transformative strategy.

  • Will be the thought-leader as well as a leader that drives best practice, structure and superior enterprise strategy deliverables and sustainable results to the health entity. You will develop a strong business case for client action and lead the effort to secure revenue for the firm.

  • You will be responsible for selling new clients and expanding work at existing clients

  • You are responsible to be a proactive business leader that creatively works with partners, clients and resources at Guidehouse to find new solutions that create repeatable value and revenue stream to the practice

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 5+ yrs. enterprise strategy consulting for healthcare - proven they can work at the highest health system level on complex, innovative, multi-work stream, enterprise strategy deliverables

  • Proven track record of structuring and managing complex, strategic, multi-million dollar health system programs that result in client and consulting teams excellence in deliverables.

  • 10 years progressive leadership experience in a health system(s) or Management Consulting organization with emphasis on Strategic Thinking and Strategic Planning with specialization in: M&A. corporate strategy, service line strategy, asset alignment and/or organizational change that optimizes provider outcomes

  • Deep demonstrable understanding of healthcare ecosystem and how to lead, guide and/or support the entities through the process to a successful conclusion

  • Successful experiences in reorganizing and integrating services and functions to perform with enhanced customer experience. (5 + yrs.)

  • Master of providing strategic structures that improve quality and materially change sustainable outcomes; Project work would include redesigning vertically and horizontally to enable enterprise strategy and follow on process and workflows.

  • Demonstrated success at materially impacting $5million+ annually in sales generation of strategy consulting engagements at larger Health Provider profit, not for profit and academic clients for the last (2+ yrs.).

  • Able to travel at least 3 nights per week

  • Masters Degree in Health, Business or similar from an accredited university

Preferred Skills

  • Strong preference for Heavy AMC experience

  • Physician Health System Executive a plus

  • Action-oriented, results -oriented, "take charge" attitude, capable of developing a strong business case for client action and the skills to bring those to close.

  • Strong executive presence and professional image and presentation (advanced us Microsoft tools)

  • A team player; a highly collaborative, team-oriented process.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in value-based payment arrangements such as Medicare Advantage/Managed Care, risk contracting, shared savings arrangements, and/or post- acute care consulting

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

  • This position is open to candidate virtually from EST, CST, PST time zone as well as AZ, UT.
