Your key responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be in the design and development of microservices and related integration patterns (e.g., orchestrations, messaging patterns, event generation and data streaming) to implement the technical architecture of our client solutions. You will be expected to leverage your knowledge of best practices and tools in this area to create efficient, reliable, scalable and high performance code. You will collaborate with front-end developers and data engineers to produce high-quality end products to exceed the expectations of our clients.

Skills and attributes for success

• Demonstratetechnical capabilities that support enterprise architecture solutiondevelopment

• Leveraging yourexperience in cloud-based IaaS, PaaS and SaaS hosting to create architectureblueprints and solutions designs

• Demonstratestrategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries andemerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new applicationtechnologies

• Experience inthe latest tools and technologies for microservices and integration layercomponent development, especially with open source toolsets

• Interfaceeffectively with third-party vendor technical experts, client technical teammembers, etc. to define and gain agreement on solution approach

To qualify for the role, you musthave

• Bachelor'sdegree and approximately eight years of related work experience at afinancial services company or consulting firm, or a graduate degree andapproximately seven years of related work experience

• Must haveinsurance and financial servicesdomain knowledge and ability to designdistributed solutions dealing with cloud-hostedsolutions dealing with real time high volume of data

• Experiencein designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs, TDD, Spring Contract,SwaggerwithJava 8+/Spring Boot and Python 3.8+ Experiencebuilding applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture; includesexperience with IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

• Workingexperience with containerized platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes in thecloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)

• Familiaritywith Git, Maven and related technologies to build and deploy microservices

• Experiencewith authentication and authorization with Identity Management, JWT (JSON WebTokens) and authentication framework

• Experiencewith Serverless technology such as Azure Functions and Lambda

• Experiencein architecting Big Data applications using Hadoop technologies such as Spark,MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch and Cassandra

• Experiencewith NoSQL database (MongoDB and API)

• Experiencewith at least one major Hadoop platform (Cloudera, Hortonworks or MapR)

• Strongexperience with event stream processing technologies such as Spark Streaming,Storm, Akka and Kafka

• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills for technical writing and clientpresentations using tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experienceassisting clients with strategic Big Data initiatives within the financialservices industry working with BIteams, data integration developers, data scientists, analysts and DBAs todeliver well-architected and scalable Big Data and analytics eco-systems

• Spring Batch

• Logging frameworks such as the ELK stack

• Mocking frameworks such as Mockito

• Experience working with globally distributed/off-shoreteams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills toexplain technical content to non-technical customers

• Willingnessto travel 80% to meet client needs
